On the EZHR Weekly Update we discuss all things holiday calculation for term time and zero hours contracts.

If you employee people on term time or zero hour contracts you may need to review your holiday calculations following an outcome from the Supreme Court which has effectively made the 12.07% used to calculate holiday redundant.

Additionally, as the ONS reports that real pay has dropped 2.8% and as the cost living bites we’re advising employers to consider what they need to do to make sure they’re aware of secondary employment. You need to consider conflicts of interest and also that hours are being logged correctly for the Working Time Regulations too.
